GREEN BUILDING

Also known as Green Construction or Sustainable Building refers to a structure using a process that is environmentally  responsible and resource-officient throughout a building’s life cycle. This requires close cooperation of the design team, the architect, the engineers and the client at all project stages.​ The Green Building Practice expands and compliments the classical building design concerns of the economy, utility, durability and comfort.

GREEN ENERGY (LEED)

Sustainable energy is the sustainable provision of energy that meets the needs of the present, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs.​ Technologies that promote sustainable energy include renewable energy sources such as: Hydro-Electricity, Solar Energy, Wind Energy, Wave Power, Geo-Thermal Energy and Tidal Power.

RENEWABLE ENERGY

Renewable energy is the energy that comes from natural sources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat, which are renewable or naturally replenished. About 16 % of global final energy consumption comes from renewables, 10% comes from traditional bio-mass, which is mainly used for heating and 3.4% comes from hydro-electricity.

ENERGY MANAGEMENT

These methods typically being with metering the routine gas or electricity consumption of an office or industry work place, analysizng the use of power and estimating how many reductions in power use & waste can be made. Consumption data is taken during the whole day, week and month to determine when energy is used most and how much power is wasted during down times. This is accomplished through an ‘energy audit’ to determine where energy is being lost, such as thermal insulation or through electrical power systems like lighting (non-energy saving lamps ballasts) or low power factor electrical motor equipment.

 
COMMISSIONING SERVICES

Project commissioning is the process of assuring that all systems and components of a building or industrial plant are designed, installed, tested, operated and maintained according to the owner’s project requirements (OPR), which is the basis of design (BOD) for any project.​ This process usually begins at the inception of the project. The process is not only applied to new projects, but to any expansions, renovations or revamping.

For OSHPD 1 & 3 facilities. Complete specifications, location of devices with interconnection to Fire Alarm Systems.

Green Systems Engineering, Inc. is a full MEP & Civil Engineering Firm, this firm was established in 2007 under the name of BM & Associates, Inc., however as of April 2012 it has been doing business under the current name of Green Systems Engineering, Inc.

 

We specialize in Green Building, Green Energy (Sustainable Energy) projects. Our projects have included but, not limited to; Transportation (Light Rail, Bus Facilities & Airports), Multi-Residential, Mixed Use, Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial & Environmental Facilities. Some of our high visibility accomplished projects have been the design of the Seattle Public Library in Seattle, Washington & The LAC + USC Hospital Replacement Complex in Los Angeles, California. Green Systems Engineering, Inc. is very active in the Renewable Energy field (Solar, Thermal Hot Water, Wind & Bio- Mass Energy).

 

Our projects have included Solar Farms 3.1MW & Thermal Hot water systems for Commercial & Residential High Rise.​Green Systems Engineering, Inc. believes in providing a reliable & well engineered product for our clients.
